📋 Short version: We don't store your CV. We don't create accounts. Your payment is handled by Stripe. We use Google Analytics to count visits. That's it.

1. Who we are

VisaMatch UK is a web service that helps people find UK jobs offering Skilled Worker visa sponsorship by analysing their CV using artificial intelligence. The service is operated as a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom.

2. What information we collect

CV content: When you upload your CV, the text is extracted in your browser and sent to our server purely to perform the analysis. We do not store, save, or retain your CV text after the analysis is complete. It is processed in real time and immediately discarded.

Payment information: We do not collect or store any payment card details. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. You can read Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy. We only receive a confirmation that your payment was successful and how many credits you purchased.

Search credits: Your search credits are stored as an encrypted token in your own browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device except when you make an analysis request.

Usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the site, including pages visited, time spent, and general location (country/city level). This data does not identify you personally.

3. How we use your information

To analyse your CV and return job matches — this is the core service
To verify your payment and issue search credits
To improve the website based on anonymised usage patterns
To respond to support enquiries if you contact us

4. Who we share your data with

We share data with the following third-party services only to the extent necessary to provide the service:

Anthropic (Claude AI) — your CV text is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. See anthropic.com/privacy.
Stripe — processes your payment securely. We never see your card details.
JSearch / RapidAPI — we send job search queries (job title + location) to retrieve live job listings. No personal data is included in these queries.
Google Analytics — anonymised visit data. You can opt out using a browser extension from Google.

We do not sell your data to any third parties. Ever.

5. Cookies

We use the following cookies and browser storage:

Google Analytics cookies — to count visits and measure performance (anonymised)
Browser localStorage — to store your encrypted search credits token on your own device

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

6. Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your data
Object to how we process your data
Lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk

Since we do not store CVs or create user accounts, there is typically no personal data to retrieve or delete. For any requests, please use our contact page.

7. Data retention

CV text: not retained — discarded immediately after analysis.

Payment records: retained by Stripe for legal and financial compliance purposes.

Analytics data: retained by Google for 26 months (anonymised).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
